Sleeping in outdoor environments can be a wonderful adventure when one uses the proper gear. Tents are best suited for this purpose and different variations of them exist. Listed below will be descriptions of them and their applications. We have correlated this post based on advice from the tent experts at www.outdoorworld.co.uk.

Tunnel
These products are great for camping in general. They come equipped with two poles that extend between the widest part of the tent. They offer protection against wind, but lack stability if it is blowing in from the side. Many variations of these models are on the market and can be purchased for low prices.

Safari
When individuals need shelter to perform research or recreational activities outside, they can use safari tents. These products are typically much more comfortable than the conventional types because they offer more space. Amenities like fully equipped kitchens and beds are not uncommon. They are also very stable in windy conditions.

Dome
These products are great for taller people that need more headroom. Construction is done with three poles that pass through the middle of the roof. They are the most suitable design for snow because it can simply slide down the sides instead of caving in the roof. Mobility is a extra benefit that allows individuals to move the erected tent around to any location that they wish. There are other variations, which include the square and hexagonal designs. The square has a lot of floor space volume, but is unstable in high winds. The hexagonal type uses a three pole system to provide maximum stability. However, it lacks a spacious floor plan.

Applications
Before purchasing any tents, it is important to determine one’s needs and goals. The first thing to consider is the environment. There are deserts, forest, plains, jungles and beaches. They all have different weather conditions that affect the comfort. Rain and snow are the most hazardous, but the effects can be minimized by choosing the proper tent. The next step is to determine the size requirements. A larger tent can accommodate more people, but will be harder to carry. Smaller ones allow one to be mobile and will provide stealth if necessary. Excessive use and exposure to the elements can damage the products. For this reason, it is wise to select the best material. Canvas is pretty durable, but tends to be too heavy for long distance hikes. Polyester is designed to withstand rays from the sun.

Camping can be a wonderful adventure when one is equipped with the right gear. There are many types of tents on the market that are designed for different purposes. They can provide stability, space or protection from the elements. Striking a balance between durability and weight is recommended. Outdoor enthusiast can search online for the best products.

As the largest island in Thailand, Phuket is a wonderful tourism destination. With beautiful natural scenery, warm weather year round, attractive beaches, a vibrant nightlife and a friendly local population, it should come as no surprise that so many visitors from around the world consider Phuket holidays to be among the best on Earth. Although there is plenty of fun to be had just relaxing on the beaches and staying close to the resorts, there is also plenty to explore throughout the island. For extra adventure on upcoming Phuket holidays, be sure to try one of these five excursions on the island.

1. Phang Nga Bay Tour: This beautiful bay off the coast of Phuket is one of the most attractive and important destinations in Thailand. Tours will often be on speedboats, shuttling passengers throughout the bay to see the breathtaking limestone formations as well as visiting some of the better known islands in the area, such as James Bond Island. Tours can also bring guests to isolated snorkeling or diving spots for a unique marine life experience.

2. Elephant Excursions: Most visitors to Phuket opt for beach accommodation, but it is recommended that you spend at least one day in the interior of the island. Here you will find a lush jungle and the opportunity to see countless elephants in their natural habitats. Many of the elephant provide visitors the ultimate experience to see the animals playing with one another in the water, trekking through the jungle or even giving guests a ride on their backs while exploring the area in perhaps the most extraordinary way possible.

3. Phuket FantaSea: This incredible destination provides nightly entertainment to thousands in what can only be described as part amusement park and part circus. Start by imagining Asia’s largest buffet, which offers more dishes that can possible be described. After enjoying the feast guests are treated to an incredible show which combined the culture of Thailand with the local animals, singing and even dancing. Expect to be truly impressed with not only the talent but the caliber of performance, which rivals something on Broadway or the West End.

4. AC’s Phuket Fishing Park: For a more traditional pastime in Phuket, visit the fishing park where both locals and visitors head to catch fish. Unlike beach fishing, here you will find freshwater fish and a unique assortment of sharks and even piranhas. Local guides can show you the best spots to find fresh fish and will even buy the fish off you afterwards if you don’t have a way to cook it yourself while staying in a hotel.

5. Phuket Town: Although this is the largest city on Phuket and the hub of the island, it is rarely visited by visitors. This provides those who do make the journey with the opportunity to get a more realistic feel for the Thai culture and local population. Tour architecture dating back to the nineteenth century or dive into delicious and surprisingly affordable meals in Phuket Town.

Where would we be without vacations? Overstressed, overworked and overwrought! Even going away for just a week or two a year is usually enough to help us feel refreshed and revitalized until next time where we can get away. Whatever you do on vacation, chances are it’s exactly what you’d like to be doing instead of work. Even if it’s simply sitting on a porch with a glass of wine and a good book… at least it’s not work. So you don’t have to spend your entire year’s wages on a vacation to make it worthwhile. When you get away however, there are do’s and don’ts to vacationing that will help keep the price down while still allowing you the full enjoyment of getting away from it all. And don’t forget one of the frugal person’s mottos… it’s the little things that count.

Staying in a hotel is fun

I love staying in hotels; even cheesy ones! Of course the luxury resort type hotel is exactly that; a luxury. Sometimes, we tend to have a little too much fun in our hotel rooms by ordering room service. Just call up your own private chef and have him fix your meals right outside of your door. It will probably be cheaper. Okay realistically, room service is fun but pricey. If you want to feel special by getting room service, have a pot of gourmet coffee delivered to your door in the morning. You will feel special, having gotten pampered; and your budget will still be intact. Enjoy that coffee like it was your last cup! Ordinarily, we simply use the coffee that is provided with the little coffee pots in each room. It’s horrible, but it’s ‘free’. The coffee you get from room service is tasty, a great way to kick off your morning and makes you feel special. What more could you ask for?

Don’t forget the Internet, Travelocity is a favorite

Booking a vacation can be very expensive, but many people forget to take advantage of online coupons. Many booking sites such as orbitz and travelocity offer promotional codes. Apply one of these promotional codes at checkout to get discounts from a few dollars to a few hundred bucks off. I applied a travelocity promotional code when I traveled to Hawaii, and received a $50 savings off my travel. Talk about savings! All I had to do is search online for these “travelocity promo codes”.

Bring me a souvenir

How many times have you heard that? Well if you’re going to bring things home to remind you of the fabulous time you had on vacation, make it something useful. Non utilitarian souvenirs simply get tossed in a drawer, forgotten about and sold at the next rummage sale. One frugal minded vacationer suggests buying something and that can serve as a Christmas ornament. Once a year, you bring it out, hang it on your tree and reminisce about the great time you had on vacation that year. With enough of these you will be reminiscing for weeks after decorating your tree every year. Some locations even sport Christmas Stores, where you can kill two birds with one stone.

But I don’t want delivered pizza again tonight

The nicer hotels more often than not have attached restaurants/and bars. Not all of them however, allow you this convenience. And when they do, after a couple of days you’ve probably eaten all your favorites off the menu… now what? Allow yourself the privilege of one night to eat an extravagant meal out. Whether it’s locally stocked seafood or free range porterhouse steak, make it something special and memorable; and for goodness sake enjoy it! This is a treat. Even if you have to cut back in another small area, be sure to pamper yourself at least once with drinks and dinner at one of the area’s fine dining restaurants. Maybe you could spend a little less on the hotel, maybe walk or take the bus instead of a taxi, there’s lots of ways to save enough to make you feel good about the dinner out. And if you’re staying at in hotel room that has a kitchen, shop at a local, inexpensive grocery store and make as many meals in your room as possible. Yet another way to save!

Oooh, that’s the spot

A massage, a manicure or pedicure or possibly a facial… the royal treatment for the frugal vacationer is not only marvelously self indulgent but relaxing and well worth the extra dollars you’ll spend on it. Once again, cutting back somewhere else will allow you to feel better about throwing some money into the spa treatment of your choosing. Painted toenails in crazy designs and colors are great fun for a beach vacation. Wiggling your toes in the sand becomes a conversation starter just like that.

High quality manicures and pedicures will even outlast your vacation!

Last year, during my first trip to Rome in a few days it were raining there. No doubt a vacation in Rome can be great when the city’s at its sunny best – but that’s usually when it’s most expensive, too, right? However the eternity city is the place you always get kaif, especially if you cared enough for bournemouth hotel accomodation, bed & breakfast, inn, guest house, hostel or apartment you can just get rest in after all.

Well, where to go in Rome in rainy day? There are many museums are open but not fully protected fron a rain, such as Forum and Colosseum are. But if you put on your rain jacket and take an umbrella you can spend amazing time.

All of the churches of Rome are also opened, so this might be a good time to visit some of the most beautiful ones:

The Pantheon is absolutely a must see, of course as well as San Pietro in Vincoli and Michelangelo’s sculture of Moses placed there.

Go to San Luigi dei Francesi to enjoy with Caravaggio’s paintings, or to Santa Maria del Popolo that has Pinturicchio frescoes, Bernini sculptures and also Caravaggio paintings. You can visit San Paolo Fuori le Mura still that has the appearance of an early Christian basilica, the cloister of this basilica is also very beautiful etc.

Like the touch of rain she was
On a man’s flesh and hair and eyes
When the joy of walking thus
Has taken him by surprise:

With the love of the storm he burns,
He sings, he laughs, well I know how,
But forgets when he returns
As I shall not forget her ‘Go now’.

Those two words shut a door
Between me and the blessed rain
That was never shut before
And will not open again.
